Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am very pleased to introduce myself as the interim principal of Saint Laurentius School. As a parishioner, parent, and previous teacher here, I am privileged to take over this position. I am honored to be able to join such a dedicated staff in this capacity.
I have been involved in education for a little over 15 years, with experience in both teaching and administration. My journey in education has been diverse, having taught college courses as an adjunct professor, math and science as a high school teacher, all subject areas as a K-8 teacher, and a building supervisor for special education. With this diverse background, our high quality staff, as well as the many programs and services that we offer, St. Laurentius will continue to focus on creating a learning environment where we strive to meet the needs of all our students.
At St. Laurentius, we will continue to ensure that our students are well-rounded, well-prepared, and confident as they move through their education and into the world beyond. We will deliver a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving in an environment where all students feel safe, respected, and valued. We will also help students grow in their social-emotional development while instilling a love of learning and encouraging curiosity.
Open communication and collaboration are key to building a strong school community. Please know that my door is always open if you have questions or need assistance.
Together, we will continue to foster a school culture where every student can thrive.
Let’s make the remainder of the year unforgettable!
Thank you,
Mrs. Concetta Quinn
Principal

Not only do smaller class sizes afford more attention to each individual student, the smaller classes allow the students to develop better relationships with their fellow classmates and build community over the course of their time at SLS.
Our school provides a strong academic foundation centered in our STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) with the intention of preparing our students for the unique and exciting challenges of the 21st century.
Our faculty offers a variety of inclusive and innovative teaching strategies in the classroom, such as project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and differentiation techniques designed to reach different types of learners.
We believe in forming well-rounded students which is why we provide a diverse offering of in-school and after-school clubs, sports and activities. Through these offerings, we seek to develop student interest in the arts, athletics, and world language. Students have an opportunity to to grow their individual, God-given gifts while working together and practicing teamwork.
Over half of our teachers hold Master’s degrees. Our faculty and staff have received teaching awards from the Barnes Foundation, the Foundation for Catholic Education’s Catholic Schools Hall of Fame and the Alliance for Catholic Education through the University of Notre Dame.
